First I want to say that I hope everyone is doing well and that God is working in your lives in a way that is visible and that you recognize it as such.
- I quick reminder to all that youth meals are $5 a head. If you haven’t been doing so, please bring your $5 to youth group to pay for your meals. If you have thank you. We are running a deficit in the youth meals category of our youth budget because I’m not receiving meal money from everyone, so please make sure that you bring that.
- If you have not done so please get me your second payment of $100 for Montreat this week. The AYM second payment of $100 will be due the first Sunday of April. If you have any questions please contact me.
- Speaking of these trips I would like to remind everyone that participation in the youth group is required in order to go on the youth trips (AYM and Montreat). I know that you all have busy lives but it is important to make solid relationships with the other youth in the church so that when we go on these trips we already know each other. That is an extremely important part of these trips, and for the most part it happens during the school year leading up to the summer trip. I would ask each of the youth to make every effort to be at youth group and/or the youth group bible study on Wednesday nights. This week we will begin to look at creating the Youth Sunday worship service and it is very important that if you are going to participate in Youth Sunday that you come to youth group to help plan.
- We have Bible study tonight and instead of the normal study we will be going to BHS for the track meet in order to support Brynne Wyatt, Emily Hudson, and Emily Hitchner. The track meet will start sometime between 5 and 5:30, so I would love to have a large crowd come out and support these ladies as they participate in the track meet. We will meet at the track at 5:30, so look out for the group in the stands and come sit with us.
- Also not this Sunday, but on Sunday the 10th we will be going bowling as a joint group (both middle and high school). I will send out more details about the where, when, and how much next week, but be thinking about who you might want to invite. I would love to have a huge group go.
- When you come to church this Sunday please take the time to look at the wall in between the sanctuary doors. This past week those youth who came on sunday night spent time thinking about and painting what disaster looks like to them in light of what has happened in Japan and what is taking place in the middle east and in the world in general.
If you have any questions, concerns, comments, suggestions, etc. please please please send me an email or give me a call.
I look forward to seeing everyone who may come tonight and I hope to see you all on Sunday evening for youth group.
Blessings,
Mason
